This is kind of in response to all the hurricanes that are hitting Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi (and any other states that have been hit real hard): Wow! I really feel bad for all those people down there.  I used to live in Pensacola (which really got hammered by Ivan), and went through two or three hurricanes myself (Georges, Opal...).  I moved away about this time two years ago, and came to Yakima, Washington (aka. drug capital of the Northwest). Being in a hurricane really sucks, especially if it is a big one (like Ivan).  You pretty much find a room in your house with no windows and cower there until the hurricane has past over.  I

School!!  Crap... Today: "orientation", we spent the entire day talking about the layout of the building Tomorrow: ASB card, lockers, we spend a whole 1 hour at school... Friday:  Off. Monday:  Off. Tuesday 31:  School actually begins. Whoever made this system needs to have his bolts tightened a little.  Why didn't we do both today's and tomorrow's stuff on Monday, and start school on that tuesday?  I dunno... I am now 15... Has anyone else noticed that as you get older, things that used to be really important to you (birthdays, Christmas, easter, etc.) just don't matter a whole lot anymore?  Only my mom has said "Happy Birthday", and frankly it doesn't really bother me that no one else has.  I just don't really care a whole lot.  Strange.
